How ScreenTap works

ScreenTap lets an AI agent use your real iPhone: it sees the screen, taps, types and swipes, in any app. It runs on your Mac, and you connect it to the agent you already use over MCP.

  • The screen comes over USB. ScreenTap shows the iPhone's screen live on your Mac and reads it, so the agent can see what's there and find buttons by their text.
  • Taps and typing go over Bluetooth. Your Mac pairs with the iPhone as a Bluetooth keyboard and pointer, the same way a real accessory would. That's how ScreenTap taps, swipes and types.
  • Your agent talks to ScreenTap over MCP. ScreenTap runs a small MCP server on your Mac and gives the agent tools like screenshot, tap and type_text. Any agent that supports MCP can use it.
Nothing is installed on the iPhone. No jailbreak, no Xcode, no developer account.

What you need

  • A Mac with macOS 15 or later.
  • An iPhone, and a USB cable that carries data (not a charge-only cable).
  • Bluetooth turned on, on both.
  • An AI agent that supports MCP, like Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or Codex. See all agents.
