Integration · Cursor
Connect Cursor's agent to ScreenTap and it can test your iOS app on a real iPhone while it writes the code: build, tap through, see what broke, fix it.
Set up
The AI code editor. Add ScreenTap's URL to mcp.json and use Agent mode.
Open ScreenTap
The MCP server runs while the ScreenTap app is open.
Add ScreenTap to mcp.json
For all projects, edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json. For one project, use .cursor/mcp.json in that project. If the file already has servers, add only the "screentap" entry.
{
"mcpServers": {
"screentap": { "url": "http://127.0.0.1:47811/mcp" }
}
}Check it's connected
Open Cursor Settings and find the MCP section. ScreenTap should show a green dot and its list of tools.
Try it
Open the chat in Agent mode and ask:
Take a screenshot of my iPhone and tell me what's on screen.Full guide with troubleshooting: Cursor in the docs.
Things to try
Open my app on the iPhone, try the new settings screen and fix anything that looks off.
Take a screenshot of every screen in the app in light and dark mode.
Turn on the largest text size, then check my app for cut-off text.
More in the prompt library.
Good to know
Yes. With ScreenTap connected, Cursor's agent can take screenshots and tap through your app on your iPhone, then change the code based on what it sees.
